  • Recognize twenty commonly overlooked clinical findings that may be associated with temporomandibular disorders.
  • Identify occlusal characteristics and oral findings—including deep bites, crossbites, open bites, excessive wear, multiple bites, abfractions, and other clinical clues—that may warrant further evaluation.
  • Describe, in practical terms, the relationship between dental occlusion, jaw function, and the nervous system.
  • Improve observational skills by systematically evaluating patients for clinical signs that are often missed during routine dental examinations.
  • Communicate significant clinical findings to the treating dentist, contributing to earlier recognition and comprehensive management of patients with TMD.
